The Legacy of Shirley Jean
The men at the bowling alley would throw a few bucks in a kitty that could grow to $50 or $100 a night. Every so often, Gramma would sneak her money in. The men would get upset, not because she infiltrated their 'men only' club, but because she would often win and take their money.
For my grandmother, Shirley Jean Diedrich. A showcase of the many patches she wore on her bowling league uniform, as well as a testament to a woman who could beat the boys at their own game.
Images of book coming soon.
